I have to admit, Google street view is one of the coolest ways to waste time on the Internet, but it is annoying when you can only click on pictures of locations instead of "taking a walk down a street".  There are several locations that I have tried to explore where viewing the pictures was the only option.  Of course, it's better than nothing.

That's why Google is now in the process of completing street view of the Amazon. Unfortunately, it is still going to be pictures.  The great thing about this though is that Google has actually taught the locals how to use the equipment to take the pictures and left the equipment there.  

Con = cheap labor. 
Pros = education, technology, advancement, more for the rest of us to see.

Pros out weigh the con.  Yay Google. 

Right now Google claims that they are going to take us down trails, the Amazon River, and into civilizations.
