I need to preface this review by saying that I have neither seen any of the other TWILIGHT movies nor read any of the books. I was worried I wouldn't understand what was going on, but the movie was easy to follow.  There were a few laughs from the audience that I didn't catch on to, but I didn't feel like I was clueless about what was happening.  Needless to say, I don't know the back story, but here it goes. 
Bella is a human. She is in love with Edward, who is a Vampire, and he is obsessed with her. Edward wants Bella to become a vampire, Bella just wants to corrupt him.  Jacob also loves Bella, he is a wolf. Jacob and Edward aren't what anyone would call friends, but their love for Bella keeps them amicable.  Victoria is behind a new vampire army that is coming to get Bella. A lot of action ensues.
While I have nothing to compare it to, I thought the story was interesting. This is extremely surprising to me, because I have no admiration for vampires, ghosts, or any other form of sci-fi. My twi-hard friends, loved it, thought it was great. Based on what they had to say, I'm going to assume you'll love this movie if you love the T
