Wall Street 10/03/2010
![]() Wall Street is about the chaos that occurs on Wall Street and how just a few people control our economy. Shia LeBeouf plays Jake, an up and coming stock broker under the guidance of his mentor, Keller. When someone plants a rumor about Keller's firm, things take a turn for the worst. Jake is obsessed with this guy Gordan Gekko, who just happens to be estranged dad of his girlfriend, Winnie (Carey Mulligan). Jake goes to see Gekko speak at a conference and introduces himself. They both want something from each other. Jake wants advice, Gekko wants a relationship with his daughter. They make "trades" and both happiness and disaster ensue in their lives as well as the lives of everyone touched by the economy. The movie seems to be based off of the Lehman Brothers buyout that took place a few years ago. I really enjoyed the movie until the last five minutes. I personally think the ending ruined the film, but I'm sure there are people out there that are happy with the ending. 1 Comment | AuthorWrite something about yourself.
